Thanksgiving

We had a quiet but tasty Thanksgiving. We roasted a whole turkey, and had all the fixings. We had to make some adjustments, like using potato chips on our green bean casserole instead of fried onions. We are still trying to find a gluten free roll recipe that we like, but there is a lot we haven't tried.
On Friday, we did our Black Friday shopping. It was the best Black Friday experience I have ever had. We went to Costco at 8:45. The doors opened at 9. We had what we needed in 30 second, and then we picked up some groceries. It wasn't crowded. No one was fighting. When we went to check out twenty minutes later, we didn't have to wait in line, and we got our free cook book. Huzzah!  The Black Friday deal we wanted worked out well. We had bought a product a week or two ago, and then found out late Thursday night that it was an unadvertised special at Costco. So we bought the one on Friday for $100 less, and returned the other one for a full refund. Sweet!
So we were home from shopping by 9:30, and we were done decorating for Christmas by noon. I'll post pictures of that another day.
Friday night, we played games at Gary and Julie's. That was a lot of fun. Playing games with kids is something I haven't done in a while.
Today, we are going to participate in "Small Business Saturday". If you register your AmEx credit card for it, you get a $25 credit if you spend over $25 at any participating store. Free money and supporting small businesses? Sounds good to me!
Yesterday, we received our first Christmas package of the season. Thank you Wendy for the CD and new ornament! We love them!  Now, my collection is growing! Here is a picture.
